Frequently Asked Questions

What does the charter price include?

The base charter fee includes the yacht, the professional crew, and standard onboard amenities. VAT and all variable expenses such as fuel, food, beverages, port fees, and special requests are not included and are covered via VAT and APA.

What is APA and how does it work?

APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is an upfront payment, usually 30% to 40% of the charter fee, used for operational expenses such as fuel, food, drinks, port fees, and special requests. The captain keeps records, unused funds are refunded, and if spending exceeds APA you may be asked to top it up.

Is VAT charged for Croatia charters?

Yes. Charters from Croatia are subject to a mandatory 13% VAT in addition to the charter fee.

Can we customize the itinerary?

Yes. Your route is tailored to your preferences in collaboration with your broker and captain. With prior arrangement and applicable delivery fees, you can start or finish at many locations along the Croatian coastline.

Do we need previous yachting experience?

No. A full professional crew handles navigation, safety, and hospitality so you can simply relax and enjoy.

How many guests can Renata host, and what is the cabin layout?

Renata accommodates up to 12 guests in 6 cabins. The layout includes a master suite plus additional cabins, with the master deck designed as a private retreat. On the lower deck there are five en suite cabins, described as four doubles and one convertible twin on the yacht listing.

What makes the Master deck special?

The Master deck is designed for privacy and comfort, featuring panoramic views, a jacuzzi, and a private terrace, plus a private salon and stern deck to create a true “retreat within the yacht.”

What are the standout onboard amenities?

Renata features a beach club with a sauna and swim platform, plus a sundeck with a forward jacuzzi. She is also described as having state of the art audio and video systems, and charter listings highlight cinema and wellness focused features such as the sauna and beach club.

Where is Renata based, and where can she charter?

Renata’s homeport is Split. She is promoted for charter in Croatia, and also listed as available in Italy and France depending on the season and positioning.

How far in advance should we book?

The guidance provided is to book at least six months in advance, especially for the high season in the Mediterranean (July and August) or the Caribbean winter season.

Is crew gratuity included?

No. Crew tips are not included. They are discretionary but customary, typically 10% to 15% of the charter fee.

Can we request a sample menu or brochure?

Yes. Listings provide downloadable brochure and sample menu options, and emphasize that menus can be crafted to the client’s appetite and preferences.
